Overview

There’s something unique about hospitality after hours. As a Night Auditor at Key West Historic Inns, you’ll be the person our guests can count on overnight while helping keep our hotels running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is a mix of guest service, problem-solving, and attention to detail. You’ll welcome late arrivals, assist guests throughout the night, complete the daily audit, and make sure everything is in order for the team coming in the next morning.

 

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to handle the unexpected with a calm and helpful approach. If you enjoy hospitality, take pride in getting the details right, and like taking ownership of your shift, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and assist with check-ins and check-outs during the overnight shift

  • Process guest payments and maintain accurate records

  • Complete the nightly audit, verify guest accounts, and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist guests with questions, requests, and concerns that may come up throughout the night

  • Respond to unexpected situations with good judgment and involve the appropriate leader when needed

  • Help maintain the safety and security of the hotel during overnight hours

  • Provide friendly, attentive service and create a welcoming experience for every guest

  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to make sure guest needs are addressed

  • Maintain knowledge of our hotels, services, amenities, and the Key West area so you can confidently assist guests

  • Keep the Front Desk organized and provide clear communication to the morning team about overnight activity and follow-up needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior cash handling experience required

  • 1 to 2 years of Night Auditor, Front Desk, or similar hospitality experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn hotel systems

  • Dependable and able to remain focused throughout an overnight shift

  • Flexible availability, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
