Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Stable Manager to join our team. As a Stable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our stable operations, ensuring the well-being of our horses, safety of our operations and providing exceptional experiences to our guests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the stables, including horse care, carriage scheduling, feeding, and exercise routines for 12 staff and 12 horses.
  • Lead and supervise a team of stable staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations with a hand on approach ensuring professionalism in all areas, both guest facing and within stables
  • Scheduling of all stables staff on a weekly basis
  • Ordering of all equine and barn supplies through approved vendors
  • Achieving monthly goals of revenue while maintaining labor and expense standards and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the stable facility
  • Develop and implement equine management procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with the VP of Guest Experiences to plan and execute horse-related activities and events to generate revenue and increase guest satisfaction scores
  • Oversee the maintenance and inventory of equine equipment and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in equine management
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, offering guidance and assistance with horse-related activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equine management or related field
  • Strong knowledge of horse care, nutrition, and health
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Proficiency in stable operations and equine-related equipment
  • Certification in equine management or related field is preferred
