As a Prep Cook at ¡VIVA!, by Ray Garcia, you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and maintaining an organized and clean kitchen environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on delivering exceptional food in a welcoming atmosphere.

What you will be doing:

• Preparing and assembling ingredients for various dishes according to recipes and specifications
• Ensuring the kitchen area is organized and clean, following health and safety regulations
• Assisting chefs with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
• Monitoring the quality of ingredients and notifying the team of any potential issues
• Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the prep area

What we are looking for:

• Prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including boxes of food and kitchen supplies
