Overview

The Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort is excitedly transitioning to become The Sunny, a luxurious destination that combines elegance and exceptional guest experiences. As part of our commitment to providing top-notch service, we are seeking an attentive and reliable Overnight Parking Attendant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our guests arriving during the night hours.

 


As the Overnight Parking Attendant, you will be responsible for managing the hotel’s parking operations during the overnight shift. Your duties will include monitoring the parking lot, assisting guests with parking needs, and ensuring the security of vehicles and the parking area. Your role will contribute to maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction and safety during the late-night hours.

 

The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities. The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with parking their vehicles upon arrival and ensure efficient use of available parking spaces. Provide clear instructions for self-parking or valet services as applicable.
  • Offer excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing any parking-related inquiries, and providing information about hotel amenities and services.
  • Monitor the parking area to ensure the safety and security of guest vehicles. Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  • Keep the parking area clean and free of debris. Ensure that parking lot lighting is functioning properly and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
  • Coordinate with the day shift Parking Attendants and other hotel staff to ensure a smooth transition and communicate any relevant information or incidents that occurred during the overnight shift.
  • Provide assistance with vehicle retrieval for guests checking out early or those needing access to their vehicles during the night. Handle any special parking requests or arrangements.
  • Follow all safety and emergency protocols, including managing any vehicle-related emergencies or accidents. Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in parking management or guest services is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and security procedures related to parking and vehicle management.
  • Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean record with no history of accidents or moving violations.
